New landscape series
I'm working to integrate some of the new brushwork and attention to foreground imagery into a more familiar subject matter for me. This is part of a series I'm working on based on drawings I made last summer while sailing on Lake Michigan. This is Sand Bay up near Fayette, in Big Bay de Noc. @ 20' x 32", oil on panel.

Meadow Series
I've often worked on a series of paintings focused on meadows, but with this new series, i'm focusing much more on including a clear foreground. The work I've been doing this winter has helped to train my eye to see more in the foreground and it's been very exciting developing a vocabulary of marks to work with. This painting is 24 x 24 inches, oil on panel.
