2 New Books
I've recently published two books, one for each of a series of paintings completed this spring.
Surface and Depth is my first exploration into foreground patterns. These paintings delve into the dichotomy I see between surface and depth of water. Shorelines showcases twenty paintings, each an exploration of the intricacies of pattern and movement found along a shore. I spend many days each year on the water on our sailboat, often anchored off a shore in a beautiful setting. The combination of looking and sketching this subject for many years reinforces this work.

Both books are available for free download or purchase at lulu.com. Here's the direct link to my storefront: http://stores.lulu.com/store.php?fAcctID=543286

How Cool!!!!! I will go check those out for sure!

Thats funny because I was just going to write you a note about this website called blurb that publishes books :) A couple of people have told me about it, but last week I saw one my photographer friend made & I was surprised at how well the prints looked on the pages.

I just started playing with pastels, they are fun and fairly easy to walk (or run) away from with a toddler around ;) Its been a bit of a struggle, but I think I am starting to understand the concept of layering with different degrees of soft and hard sticks.

Hope you are having a GREAT summer!
Love, jen
